excellent book
A great book about a great adventure! A must read for anyone 8 to 88! The true story about Meriwether Lewis and William Clark as they explored the American West and introduced themselves to the American Indians on their way!
Very well written. Filled with fly on the wall observations.
Whether you have a slight, moderate, or high interest in Lewis and Clark, this book does not disappoint! I could not put it down and highly recommend it to anyone.
I love reading just about anything on Lewis and Clark that's is relating to the core of discovery. This was more of the brief account of the trip. I read the whole account of the trip in the journals of Lewis and Clack, this was now where near that account but non the less a very good book to just kick back and read.
Easy reading and quick summary of the Corps of Discovery. Gives the reader a pretty good idea of one of the great adventures in American history
This book gives you a short quick brush up on the Lewis & Clark expedition. While it contained information about the expedition there was not much detailed information. I think Ambrose's "Undaunted Courage" is a more extensive treatise on Meriweather Lewis and a more comprehensive read about the Lewis & Clark expedition. However, for the casual reader who just wants a quick/brushup history lesson on the opening of the West, this would be your book.
